Megan Nelson
The Holy Spirit was definitely the talent scout who brought the amazing Megan Nelson to the WCI! The Wojtyła Community & Institute is so blessed by the addition of Mrs. Nelson to our executive team. She will be bringing her expertise to the media arm of the WCI, from social media networking to promoting events, Megan brings her joy and love to her tasks and the WCI is so proud to have her on our team!
Megan says,
"Nick and I have worked in marriage ministry for almost a decade, but primarily just marriage preparation, teaching Natural Family Planning. I love volunteering with WCI, because this is marriage ministry that is meeting couples in the "real" and going on a journey together toward the "ideal"."
Megan Nelson and husband Nick live in rural Nebraska with their four children. They were married in 2010 when Nick was serving on active duty in the Army. After five moves across the states and to Germany and back, Nick transferred to the National Guard and they settled down on their small homestead. Together they teach NFP with Couple to Couple League and high school youth group with their parish.
Megan has held several positions both volunteer and professional including Family Readiness Group Leader, Spouses' Club Parliamentarian, Parish Coordinator, and School Registrar. Now she homeschools their children, teaches ballet and tap at a local dance studio, coordinates local farming and homesteading classes, and writes on Substack with her brothers.
