Stepping out of the boat

Aug 24, 2020 - The Wojtyła Community & Institute, Inc. was launched on the 52nd anniversary of Humanae Vitae, July 25, 2020.  The WCI follows The Rule for married couple groups written by St. John Paul II when he was Cardinal Karol Wojtyła.  The Rule was written in response to the promulgation of Humanae Vitae and as a way to help couples actualize the teachings of the Church on marriage into their lives with JOY.  We are fully committed to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, especially Humanae Vitae and the teachings of St. John Paul II.

One of the couples, who was a part of the community of friends that naturally surrounded then bishop/ Cardinal Wojtyła, co-authored a book in Italian that contained The Rule. Our founders first read The Rule through this book and have been in contact with all three of the authors throughout our building process.  It was one of these authors who said to us, "I hope that in places like yours and thanks to people like you, the legacy of St. John Paul and his institution will not be lost. Congratulations and be courageous!”
